The developer tried to implement the comments that were made at the previous meeting, but this, rather, only became an irritating factor for the commission.
According to the building designer, he coped with the previous comments about increasing the area of greenery and adding a playground to the general plan.
However, upon closer examination of the general plan and drawings, it turned out that this was far from true, and the work to bring the construction to fruition suddenly became much more. Thus, a discrepancy with Russian legislation was quickly found in the ratio of apartments and parking spaces in the adjacent territory. There are 64 apartments planned, but only 27 cars will be able to park.
The question of the relationship between the height of the building and the area it occupies hangs in the air. Reducing the height from 11 to 9 floors, according to the city council, did not particularly solve the problem. Above the ninth floor, experts believe, the drawings show some strange superstructures that complete those same two floors, but in the new version their purpose is unclear, because they are non-residential.
It was noted that the path of compromise lies between reducing the height and expanding the adjacent territory. Advisor to the governor Alesandr Izmodenov, who chaired the city council, did not like the appearance of the building, the architectural solutions of which he called “a glass colored suitcase.”
“This is some kind of strange fashion for me, an adherent of a certain Sevastopol direction of architecture, when such a glass suitcase is made. He is so smooth, without anything at all. I don't think this is a very serious decision. In my opinion, not very expressive architecture. If we gave you instructions to work on the glazing, this does not mean that everything had to be glazed. You have three types of glazing here, if not all four. It felt like four different companies were competing to win. The canons of architectural science have not been canceled,” the architect noted.
One of his colleagues even attacked the designer with accusations of unprofessionalism, especially annoyed that they, the experts, had to redo all the work.
As a result, the designer asked for a week to further refine the design.
