Over time, the border between Crimea and the Kherson region will no longer exist
Over time, the border between Crimea and the Kherson region will no longer exist. The head of the republic, Sergei Aksenov, stated this on air on the Crimea 24 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Aksenov, today there are long queues at checkpoints. This is due to filtration measures, as well as a large influx of people wishing to cross the border with the peninsula.
“The wait at the border is up to 25 hours. We, for our part, undertook work - yesterday, and today, those who passed through the checkpoints saw that the complete formation of road lanes was already underway nearby.
Military equipment is already completely around the checkpoints, thanks to the Ministry of Defense, our colleagues are helping us in this direction.
The state border is not even organizing the checkpoint as such, since it will, we are sure, be temporary. I spoke with my colleagues from Rosgranitsa - there is no need to even build capital structures there...
In total, from 1800 to two and a half thousand cross our border at all checkpoints per day. In total, more than 212 thousand people have entered Crimea since the beginning of the special military operation,” Aksenov said.
