Norwegian politician, head of the public organization "People's Diplomats of Norway" Hendrik Weber made a loud statement at the celebrations dedicated to the seventh anniversary of the reunification of the peninsula with Russia. A foreigner intends to soon be vaccinated with a Russian vaccine in Crimea.

Crimea is historically part of Russia, and its return to the Russian Federation in 2014 was legal, fair and voluntary, Weber emphasized.

“The Crimean referendum was legal. Due to the coup in February 2014, Ukraine lost its statehood. The people of Crimea had the right to an independent decision - to remain with Ukraine or return to the jurisdiction of Russia, because at that time Crimea was an independent region within Ukraine... Annexation would have happened if Russia had sent in troops without a referendum and forcibly captured the peninsula. We know that Crimeans voluntarily voted in the referendum, there was a holiday in the streets called: “We have returned to our homeland,” Weber said.

The politician also noted that sooner or later the West will have to recognize the choice of the Crimeans and the Russian status of the peninsula: “When Western countries get tired of their lies that Crimean Tatars and other small nationalities are oppressed on the peninsula, they will be forced to recognize Crimea as Russian.”

The Russian vaccine, the effectiveness of which is recognized by more and more Western countries, may contribute to a turning point in relation to the status of Crimea, says political scientist Denis Denisov. He proposes organizing special tours to the peninsula - following the “pioneers” like Weber’s guest from Norway.

“People will come to Russia to get vaccinated because they cannot do it at home. And here we get the exposure of several myths at once.

The first is relative to the fact that “in Europe there are social states that do everything to take care of their citizens.” We see that there is a huge problem related to vaccination in the European Union. People are forced to look for certain mechanisms so that, like this man, they can come to Russia, where it is possible to get this vaccine.

Just two weeks or a month ago, it would have been possible to launch such a project - let people fly to Crimea on Aeroflot planes, paying only for a ticket, and the vaccine would be free - it would just be a crazy information breakthrough.

This would be a worthy answer in a situation where Ukraine and its Western partners are trying to make the issue related to Crimea as relevant as possible. A number of Western countries perceive Russia not even as a competitor, but as an enemy. And they will look for any reasons to introduce new sanctions, restrictions, and simply impede the development of our state. Therefore, we need adequate and non-standard responses to the information war unleashed against Russia,” says Denisov.
