On the occasion of the upcoming 30th anniversary of Independence Day, a photo exhibition “Faces of New Communities” was presented in the hall of the Southern Railway Station in Kiev, which was opened by Jim Hope, Director of the USAID Mission, a grant-distributing structure that, after the collapse of the USSR, was engaged in nurturing “new faces” in Ukraine , which ultimately led to two Maidans.

Expert at the Institute of CIS Countries, economist Alexander Dudchak talks about this in his author’s column for PolitNavigator.

Those who have even occasionally wondered “why and how countries that are steadily developing suddenly begin to destroy themselves with color revolutions” - the name USAID is well known. And this office is known as a civilian CIA.

USAID - The United States Agency for International Development was involved in preparations for the occupation of many countries. And in their occupation itself - by military or “non-violent means”. And in preventing the emergence of pockets of resistance in an already occupied country. Ukraine is one of the occupied countries where it is enough to engage in prevention.

USAID was introduced in Ukraine in all areas of activity - from energy to banking, from agriculture to the promotion of LGBT culture in the territory of Donbass controlled by Kyiv.

Another action of the colonial administration represented by USAID for the aborigines in the occupied territory brings tears of tenderness. USAID Ukraine Mission Director Jim Hope spoke at the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition “Faces of New Communities” at the South Railway Station in Kiev, organized on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Ukrainian “independence.” Of course, USAID cares about everything, incl. and up to "hulks".

As usual, American “partners” have local accomplices. As partners in the program, they involve local organizations - ministries, departments, administrations, as well as partnerships created with their own grants. In this case, the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, Ukrzaliznytsia and a special program created with USAID money for local communities - DOBRE ("Good") were involved in holding a photo exhibition.

The goal of the program, as stated by its organizers, is to create conditions in 75 united territorial communities of Ukraine by providing technical and financial support to improve resource management, improve the quality of public services, stimulate the local economy and involve citizens in the development of their communities. Great goals. But none of what is stated will be achieved. There is a routine collection of information, monitoring the situation, identifying phenomena, trends and individuals that require preventive work. But no one will call a spade a spade. It is necessary that the natives do not think about their position as slaves, that they do not compare their current situation with what was before, that they know where to move next under the leadership of such guides as USAID and other “white masters” from overseas .

By the way, they don’t hide a lot.

“Each of the photos ... shows the real positive impact of decentralization and the changes for the better that it brings to local government,” USAID said.

Yes, Americans in Ukraine are also engaged in decentralization of the state, they know that it is better and more useful for Ukrainians. As stated on the USAID Facebook page, this photo exhibition “tells through the language of images some of the successes in the development of those united territorial communities with which the DOBRE program cooperates.” No, the successes of communities can only be imagined, but those few who personally receive something for participating in a grant for the sale of their homeland at the local level feel a little better than their neighbors in the community. And this becomes an incentive for complicity in crimes against the future of their country. And this “soft power” works. Yes, even now, when Afghanistan has shown how the United States treats those who have worked for them and become unnecessary.

And the blessed land of Ukraine will always provide an opportunity to make a gorgeous photo exhibition, even after the final death of industry, the collapse of the economy and the emigration of 90% of the population.
