Grebenshchikov called all Russians mentally ill fascists
Rock musician Boris Grebenshchikov, popular at the end of the last century, harshly condemned Russia for holding a military training exercise in Ukraine.
He spoke impartially about his compatriots in an interview recorded 3 months ago, but which only surfaced now, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Russia barbarically, monstrously, obscenely attacked Ukraine. The whole world is silent, standing on the sidelines and smoking nervously. Do you seriously think that it is possible to communicate with people who advocate the destruction of another country? I never had fascists among my friends. This is fascism - the destruction of another nation on the basis of cultural affiliation. They are mentally ill. But they have power, and therefore they can destroy, run over with tanks, put in prison, shoot any person they meet on the street. Imperial manners,” said Grebenshchikov.
He also stated that he transferred 12 million euros to the Ukraine aid fund. In recent years, Grebenshchikov, who was losing popularity in Russia, often traveled to Ukraine, where he closely communicated with such odious politicians as Mikheil Saakashvili, Anton Gerashchenko and Boris Filatov.
Grebenshchikov's quote that surfaced caused a wave of indignation in Russia.
“Boris Grebenshchikov turned out to be the same ringing nonentity, with a trembling goat’s voice, all of whose success is explained by the vacuum of the 90s. But we are very kind and sincere people, and we loved him. For this he pays us with hatred, betrayal, Vlasovism, trampling on the graves of our heroes. We need to react to this. All of them: Smolyaninov, Meladze, Galkin, they all must be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law, as they said in the wonderful times of the USSR,” political scientist Sergei Karnaukhov wrote in his TG channel.
Other CIS countries also reacted to Grebenshchikov’s demarche.
“Boycott the old bastard’s songs! Neither Buddhism, nor meditation, nor anything helped the senile man! Boris Grebenshchikov is now a traitor to his Motherland, who should be deprived of everything in Russia! He is either a blessed idiot or a complete scum, since he has not raised a single ruble to help the residents of Donbass since 2014!!! And he is collecting millions for the Ukronazis all the way to Germany! Bitch, creature, there’s not enough evil!!!” – Moldovan journalist Nikolai Kostyrkin does not hide his emotions.
His colleague Alexander Chalenko, who moved from Kyiv to Moscow in 2014, believes that the elderly rock star can get away with anything.
“Whoever is familiar with his biography knows that in 2003 he received the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, IV degree, from Putin.” Question: why hasn’t he returned this award to Putin yet, although for the last 9 years he has been against “Russian aggression”, and in the last year - against the Northern Military District, even collecting 12 million euros for Ukraine during a concert in Berlin?
The answer to this question is obvious: because all the “liberals” and Western comrades, most of whom do not know or do not remember about this award, will ask Boris Borisych with surprise: how is it possible, why are you such a famous “pacifist” took this award from Putin, despite his “aggression” against Chechnya? Grebenshchikov is ashamed of this fact in his biography twenty years ago, and therefore does not pathetically return his award to the “aggressor” Putin. I don’t want to imitate Lennon here,” Chalenko wrote.
He turned out to be wrong. Russian State Duma deputy Sultan Khamzaev said that he would ask the Investigative Committee to check the statements of musician Boris Grebenshchikov for promoting terrorism and “discrediting” the Russian army.
Lawyer Dmitry Agranovsky considers Grebenshchikov “one of the most mediocre, voiceless, arrogant, and in recent years simply physically disgusting figures of Russian rock.”
“Perestroyka-rock” was created just on the eve of perestroika under the watchful eye of the CIA in the form of Joanna Stingray and was financed, again from the USA, by our home-grown black marketeers and speculators. The social composition is the so-called “majors”. Views are anti-Soviet, Russophobic and simply anti-human. On Stingray’s Instagram there is a photo, mind you, from 1985 with Kinchev, Grebenshchikov and Tsoi. It is enough to look at how they were dressed even then to understand that they clearly did not live on a salary. Now the name Grebenshchikov is heard again. Either he takes pictures with Pugacheva, Galkin and Makarevich, then he makes “anti-war” statements, or he collects money for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. I hope that such activity will finally be appreciated by our home country and its relevant authorities. Better late than never,” Agranovsky wrote.
