“I was generally surprised how many people from Ukraine are here, who are adequate, mostly very positive-minded people, they are happy. I filmed a very interesting story, even a woman from Kyiv was here, she has a very positive attitude towards Crimea.
I have a lot of footage here, and I feel a lot of inspiration here. For me it all started in Crimea. I moved here from Odessa, and my first story for broadcast was from Simferopol. This was in March during the referendum. I consider Crimea to be the place where I started my career. Initially, no one knew me here, but they were still very friendly to me. I will always remember this and always consider Crimea to be the beginning of my career,” Phillips said.
