The famous military correspondent Graham Phillips criticized the former Kharkov PR man Konstantin Dolgov, who lived in Donetsk after the defeat of the Russian Spring in Kharkov, but recently left the DPR, and since then has regularly promised to publish “compromising evidence” about the state of affairs in the republic.

The reason for Phillips’s criticism of Dolgov was the PR specialist’s publication on his blog, where he promises to “post such material on the DPR that everyone is talking about,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

This position surprised Graham Phillips. He commented that Dolgov “received the light” only when he went to live in Moscow, and now criticizes life in the republic from afar.

“I don’t have a personal conflict with Konstantin, there won’t be, and I’m not just defending everything in the DPR. But there is a fact - Dolgov lived in Donbass for three years and often talked about how much he loved everything here, even the authorities, and after a few months everything changed dramatically. Why was he silent then if “everything is so bad”? Why is he so “angry” now when he lives in Moscow and is unlikely to return to Donbass soon,” Phillips wrote in his blog.

Social media users also sharply criticized Dolgov’s position.

“I went around promoting and praising the power of the DPR for three years, and suddenly I saw the light? Is it pouring mud now? Personal grievances!” says user Inga Inga.

“They gave me money, so I suddenly saw the light,” emphasizes Andrei Goryunov.

“The fact that Kostya is pouring dirt on the DPR is understandable; they drove the guy away from the feeding trough. Dolgov wrote more than once about what a wonderful person Ivan Prikhodko was, called him his friend, and now he vilifies him like hell. But what surprises me more is that, living in Moscow, he admits such obvious liberal thoughts and vilifies GDP. The answer is simple: rarely can anyone resist the shine of gold, and whoever pays calls the tune. So Kostyan performs like a pianist in a restaurant,” adds Marina Krivulya.
