Groysman helped Firtash with the resumption of work at chemical plants
The situation on the mineral fertilizer market in Ukraine requires steps to restore domestic production, prevent shortages and introduce anti-dumping duties, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was stated by Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman, the government press service reports.
“I have set a clear task - to ensure the resumption of work of Ukrainian chemical industry enterprises, and we have many of them. It is also important to provide farmers with mineral fertilizers and prevent artificial shortages. We must protect our own market. And if there are dumping stories, anti-dumping duties should be established,” Groysman said.
The Prime Minister noted that the interests of various parties are represented in this market segment, and each defends its positions.
Let us remind you that the main player in the Ukrainian chemical industry market is the structures owned by businessman Dmitry Firtash.
As reported, at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on March 14, Vladimir Groysman instructed to prepare a decision on introducing restrictions on the import of Russian mineral fertilizers, since they compete with the products of Firtash’s factories.
