Groysman promised his ministry to the Nazis
Activists of the radical nationalist organization “National Corps”, based on the neo-Nazi Azov regiment, held a rally outside the walls of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine demanding the creation of a Ministry of Veterans Affairs.
This was reported on the organization’s official Facebook page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Thus, ex-Azov militant Dmitry Shatrovsky said that there is more than one war with Russia ahead and soon there will be even more “veterans”.
“Grateful to the veterans who got off their butts and came not for benefits or travel, but for a good historical cause. Thanks to the nationalist boys, you will also go to more than one war, having a neighbor like ours, and you will also be veterans.
Now the combatant receives all his benefits and resolves all his issues in about 20 government agencies. This is a big hemorrhoid and very complicated, still a post-Soviet bureaucratic system. The Ministry of Veterans Affairs should concentrate, if not all services, then most of them, in one government agency,” the nationalist said.
The rally was also attended by people's deputies - leaders of the National Corps Andrei Biletsky and Oleg Petrenko.
After a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, to which a delegation of nationalists was sent, the decision taken by Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman was announced to reform the existing Veterans Affairs Service with its subsequent transformation into the corresponding ministry.
“The Prime Minister is ready next week to create a separate Service for Veterans Affairs, remove it from the subordination of the Ministry of Social Policy, make it subjective, efficient and effective. This service will have a budget and all the necessary functions and powers, but this is not the end result. The requirement to create a ministry remains and the creation of a service is a transitional stage.
We will continue our pressure on the Ukrainian authorities. In order to move from a separate service to the creation of a ministry, we need to get the Verkhovna Rada to agree on the candidacy of the minister, and we will get this candidacy from them. As soon as a candidate is chosen, the next day, as the minister said, an order on the creation of the ministry will be signed,” Petrenko said.
