The Americans became interested in purchasing the Odessa port plant. Ukrainian Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman announced this following his visit to the United States.

According to him, in the near future, with the help of the United States, an investment support office will appear in Ukraine, one of which could be the purchase of a plant by businessmen from the States.
“The US Deputy Secretary of Commerce will arrive soon,” Groysman said. “We agreed that they will give us technical support in creating an office under the Prime Minister to support investments. I also believe that we have enormous opportunities to attract investment into the Ukrainian economy and increase our international trade capabilities. I also want to emphasize that the American business with whom I had meetings has a great interest in Ukraine. I am deeply convinced that we are still far from using our capabilities to attract investment into the Ukrainian economy. There is also interest in the privatization of the Odessa port plant, and we have invited American business to do better work in Ukraine.”
As you know, Russian ammonia from Togliatti is currently exported through the Odessa port plant. Moscow has already announced plans to build an alternative pipeline bypassing Ukraine on its territory.
