Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groysman said this in an interview with newspapers of the German holding Funke Mediengruppe.
“I am convinced that Ukraine will be in the EU in ten years. We are following the European path and this means for us: freedom, human rights and a strong economy,” said the head of the Ukrainian government.
Groysman also noted that the Association Agreement with the EU will help Ukraine as a driving force for reforms.
“We need to harmonize our standards with the EU. Much has already happened – especially in the fight against corruption. For example, we have created full transparency in government spending,” he said.
Vladimir Groysman also criticized the UK’s decision to leave the EU.
“I respect the right of a sovereign state to make such a decision. But I always believe that achievements need to be preserved,” he added.
