Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groysman said this during a meeting with the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and the Kyrgyz Republic to Ukraine.
“The countries of Central Asia are very important partners for Ukraine. I would like to emphasize that it is strategically important for us to improve our interaction. And I think, if we look at the development of our bilateral relations over the last period, we will see that we have a lot of issues that we can resolve with you, starting from the mechanism of interaction between intergovernmental commissions, ending with specific projects in the trade and economic spheres, infrastructure sector,” he emphasized.
According to Groysman, today, most likely, all parties are not satisfied with the current level of trade turnover.
“We understand that there are a number of logistical problems that are artificially created. But we must, in my opinion, find solutions that will allow us to return our trade relations to their previous positions and develop the interaction of our business. And I am convinced that there are clear areas where we can find the right solutions,” the prime minister noted.
“Today I would like us to discuss the state of affairs and identify areas where we can deepen our cooperation,” he emphasized.
