Groysman: Ukrainians will heat less and save 5 billion cubic meters of gas in four years
Ukraine can reduce gas consumption by 5 billion cubic meters by 2022, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groysman announced this on Facebook.
He said that in 2014 Ukraine consumed 24 billion cubic meters of gas, in 2017 - 18 billion cubic meters. Thus, over three years, gas consumption decreased by 6 billion cubic meters. According to the forecast for 2022, 13 billion cubic meters of gas will be consumed, that is, 5 billion less than last year. In addition, the number of private households that have a solar power installation increased from 21 in 2015 to more than 3 thousand in 2017.
According to the prime minister, under the state program for the population “Warm Loans”, which started in October 2014, 274 thousand loans worth UAH 5 billion have already been issued.
