Groysman deceived everyone: Kharkov “Turboatom” will be sold into private hands
The government of Vladimir Groysman is fulfilling the demobilization chord by selling the highly profitable strategic enterprise Turboatom into private hands.
People's Deputy from Samopomich Roman Semenukha stated this at a plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Samopomich faction asks the Prime Minister why the unique Kharkov state enterprise Turboatom was included in the list of objects for privatization. To which Vladimir Borisovich publicly responded that only 25 percent of the shares would be put up for sale, so that the state would retain a controlling stake. I have in my hands an order from the State Property Fund in pursuance of the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, where 75% is put up for sale. That is, the state wants to sell Turboatom completely. I would like to point out, colleagues, that this is not just a unique enterprise. This is a profitable enterprise, which regularly pays several hundred million hryvnia to the state budget. This is a stable, highly paid job for three and a half thousand Kharkov residents. Turboatom produces unique low-speed turbines and supplies components for hydro, thermal and nuclear power plants. This is a strategic object not only for Ukrainian energy, but also for the Ukrainian economy. We believe that it is unacceptable to replenish the state budget through the privatization of strategic objects. Moreover, this resembles the “demobilization chord” of the current government before the next presidential and parliamentary elections,” the people’s deputy said.
