Groysman played politics with economics - expert
The decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to discontinue the program of economic cooperation with the Russian Federation contains more PR than economics.
Ukrainian economist Alexander Okhrimenko stated this in a commentary to PolitNavigator.
“The relationship is already almost completely broken, so nothing will change radically. Perhaps there is still cooperation at the level of Energoatom and Ukrzaliznytsia. And the majority of state-owned enterprises (the program does not apply to private companies) have not actually cooperated for a long time.
It’s difficult for the government to talk about the economy now, but it must be said that it is doing something, undertaking something. And the decision to break the program is a PR activity: “you see, we are fighting, hurray!”, he said.
Thank you!
