Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groysman announced this to regional media, reports the Government Portal.
“According to the Ministry of Social Policy, as of December 2016, 94% of 60-year-old men and more than 90% of 60-year-old women have a work experience of 25 years or more,” he said.
He noted that there are 16,5 million working citizens in Ukraine. “And 12 million citizens pay contributions. My question is: where is the other 4 million?” - the prime minister complains.
At the same time, according to him, there were 3200 million 4800 thousand Ukrainians who receive salaries from 2016 to 1 in December 700, and almost 3 million citizens in April.
Earlier, Groysman stated that without changing the pension system and raising the retirement age, the Pension Fund of Ukraine will become bankrupt in 3-5 years. However, many experts point out that the Fund is already bankrupt and, without government subsidies, is not able to balance its own budget.
