Groysman was offered to disassemble him into organs, he comprehends the proposal
At the “Yalta European Strategy” conference in Kiev, journalist Irina Zaslavets, who wants to create a new organ transplantation system in Ukraine, invited Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman to take part in her project and give consent to the use of his organs for transplantation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Since, according to the new law, from January 1, Ukrainians will be asked whether they will become donors, I want to ask you: are you ready to set an example for the people and be one of the first to declare such readiness? There is no (transplantation) system in Ukraine, 3 thousand people die every year,” she said.
"I did not think about that. I think this issue requires reflection. I'm more inclined to say yes than no,” he said.
“Will you think before January 1?” – the journalist clarified.
“I must say honestly - you probably wanted me to say: yes, of course, I’ll sign it tomorrow. I have to make this decision for myself. But I didn’t think about it, it requires reflection,” the official said.
The initiative to use the organs of the Ukrainian Prime Minister comes from the ex-President of Poland Alexander Kwasniewski.
“Mr. Kwasniewski advised me to ask this question. He told me that he had a donor card and signed it in order to set an example for his people,” the journalist said.
