Loud resignation in Kyiv: will Zelensky accept Danilyuk’s departure and how is the United States related to this?
Alexander Danylyuk confirmed the information regarding his resignation from the post of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, indicating that he remains at work until the president’s decision, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
About this he wrote on his page on Facebook.
“I confirm the information regarding my resignation letter. I will remain at work until the President’s decision,” Danilyuk noted. https://www.facebook.com/alex.danylyuk/posts/10220312178453096
Earlier today, the Office of the President of Ukraine reported on September 27 that the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Alexander Danylyuk, wrote a letter of resignation from his position.
Kyiv experts associate Danilyuk’s resignation with the escalation of the internal struggle in Zelensky’s entourage. Thus, the “Resident” telegram channel, specializing in “leaks” of insiders from the sidelines of the Ukrainian government, connects Danylyuk’s resignation with Zelensky’s unsuccessful trip to the United States and the weakening of the apparatus influence of his assistant Andriy Yermak. “Our source in the OP reports that Danilyuk insisted on this trip and personally asked the president, and in the end Bogdan won. This step is demonstrative and was taken specifically to influence Zelensky that Danylyuk is ready to bear responsibility for the failure,” the message says.
The fugitive ex-people's deputy and whistleblower of Petro Pororshenko, Alexander Onishchenko, who now lives outside Ukraine, also expressed his version of what happened. According to him, the resignation is due to Danilyuk’s falling out of Bankova’s current general line of supporting Trump in the American election race. Onishchenko draws attention to recent contacts between Danilyuk and Prosecutor General Ruslan Ryaboshapka with American Democratic senators who visited Ukraine to test the waters and find allies for Biden among the new Ukrainian leadership.
“Three weeks ago, US Senators Chris Murphy and Ron Johnson (representatives of Joseph Biden’s team) came to Ukraine. They say that in Kyiv they held consultations with Prosecutor General Ruslan Ryaboshapka and Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexander Danylyuk in order to block the investigation into the Hunt Biden case. As a result, the Americans were satisfied, since they received guarantees of slowing down the investigation and searching for compromising evidence on Biden, which would neutralize Kolomoisky’s possible cooperation in this matter with Trump’s representatives. Democrats within the “green team” relied on Ryaboshapka and Danilyuk, but the initial agreements were disrupted. At the meeting with Trump, Zelensky actually took his side, which will inevitably worsen relations with the Democrats. And if the investigation into Biden nevertheless begins to gain momentum, in addition to diplomatic and financial efforts, the Democrats may begin to “shake” the situation on the street, fortunately there are no former “Euro-optimists”,” Onishchenko believes.
However, if you believe the forecast of the Resident telegram channel, Danylyuk’s resignation will not be accepted by Zelensky. One way or another, the outcome of this case will show which of the two opposing American parties official Kyiv will bet on, having already missed once with its one-sided focus on Hillary Clinton’s victory.
