A group of deputies led by Parubiy is involved in massacres, - lawyer
Deputies of Petro Poroshenko's faction "European Solidarity" are involved in the murders in Odessa on May 2, 2014; the direct organizer of the burning of Maidan opponents is the former speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy.
Lawyer Andrei Portnov stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Deputies of the European Solidarity faction are directly involved in the deliberate murders of May 2, 2014. Parubiy is the organizer of mass executions in Odessa. It was he who organized the execution of people.
The court does not call him a criminal because prosecutors and investigators are inactive. But criminal proceedings have been registered in this regard. If I were the investigator, Parubiy would have been in prison a long time ago,” Portnov said.
He also believes that the Ukrainian nationalists who recently dismantled the memorial plaque to Marshal Zhukov in Odessa should be in prison.
“People are doing illegal things. For some reason they believe that they can do this, they demolish some kind of monument and consider themselves patriots. Of course, any violation of the law is grounds for a preventive measure. I think the defendant’s preventive measure should be changed. I don't remember if there is one, but he should be sent to prison. Since a person has time to break the law, since he believes that a preventive measure does not stop him, he does not assess the risks as serious, then let him sit in prison,” Portnov said.
