A group of Ukrainian Armed Forces officers got burned while stealing shells
The military prosecutor's office detained four Ukrainian Armed Forces officers on suspicion of mass theft of artillery shells.
Ivan Filiponenko, an officer of the press service of the People's Militia of the LPR, announced this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the units of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade, in connection with the preparation of the unit for departure to the point of permanent deployment and a large number of cases of theft of weapons and ammunition, employees of the military prosecutor’s office are conducting investigative measures. Yesterday, in the area of the village of Trekhizbenka, investigators discovered a cache of large-caliber ammunition,” said a representative of the press service of the LPR NM.
According to his information, in total more than 270 units of 152-mm OF-22 artillery shells and about 350 RGM-2 fuses were seized.
“During the investigation, four officials were detained, all of them are brigade officers directly responsible for the accounting and storage of weapons and ammunition,” added Ivan Filiponenko.
