A column of Ukrainian equipment was ambushed while delivering cargo for the military fighting on the Debaltsevo bridgehead, reports press service of the Ministry of Defense.
“The escort group under the leadership of Lieutenant Dmitry Kebech took the battle, but after running out of ammunition and the destruction of their armored personnel carrier by superior enemy forces, they were captured. According to available information, one of the soldiers is seriously wounded,” the department reported.
“The information from Russian and separatist media about the mass surrender of Ukrainian military personnel and the capture of 120 fighters, according to the ATO press center, does not correspond to reality and is a provocative “fake” intended to provoke panic,” the Ministry of Defense added. At the same time, the Ukrainian military department did not name the number of those captured.
Let us note that earlier the DPR announced 120 captured Ukrainian soldiers in Debaltsevo.
