The Albanian contingent took command of NATO forces in Latvia.
This was reported by the press service of the NATO Forward Presence Combat Group in Latvia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Albanian contingent of the NATO Forward Presence Battle Group in Latvia recently held a transfer of command ceremony at Camp Adazi,” the group says on its page (NATO enhanced Forward Presence Battle Group Latvia). “We want to thank the mission members heading home for their hard work and dedication, and welcome the new mission members!”
Thus, command of the North Atlantic Alliance group, based directly near the border with Russia, passes to the Albanian contingent.
Thank you!
