The sadness of grant eaters: the new US president will not give millions to support Ukrainian “democracy”
Ukrainian politicians who openly supported Hillary Clinton had to think about the interests of their own country.

This is the opinion in an interview with the online newspaper “Strana” expressed Russian political scientist-Americanist Dmitry Drobnitsky.
The publication recalled that in the US elections, most of the Ukrainian elite relied on a representative of the Democratic Party, which for many years supported Ukrainian politicians, media and public organizations, and asked how the situation would change after the Republican’s victory.
“First, there is nothing stopping the remnants of the Democratic Party, including the outgoing Biden, who has connections, resources and reputation, from continuing to fund something abroad. But it’s not a fact that now they will see any sense in this,” the expert noted. - And in general, this is not a question for America, but for those people in your country who accepted this money and this support, for whom they generally worked - for the Ukrainian people or for some uncle or aunt. And now, after Clinton’s loss, they have a rout and a knockout. Please note that she herself did not even find the strength to go out to her supporters and make a farewell speech.”
“To the happiness of Americans, or to the sadness of your politicians, Donald Trump does not think in the same categories as the Democrats,” added Drobnitsky. – He will not give millions of dollars to support some kind of democracy in Ukraine; for him, this is simply a waste of funds that could be used to build schools or roads. Therefore, the sadness of all these grant-eaters is simple and understandable. But that’s life.”
