Georgian airlines continue to fly to Russia
Georgian Airlines continues to operate flights to Moscow, despite the ban imposed today by the Russian Federation.
This is stated in a message from the largest airline in Georgia, Georgian Airways, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
For flights to Moscow, the Georgian airline will use a “transit” flight scheme, when a plane from Tbilisi will make a short landing in the Armenian capital Yerevan and immediately fly to Moscow.
“In connection with the introduction of an embargo on flights between Russia and Georgia declared by the Russian Federation, after July 8, 2019, Georgian Airways changed the schedule of regular flights Tbilisi-Moscow-Tbilisi and now offer the following route twice a day: Tbilisi - Yerevan - Moscow – Yerevan – Tbilisi.
To ensure that you, our valued Clients, can continue to fly comfortably and safely, with time savings between Russia and Georgia, during landing in Yerevan, Passengers will remain on board and their baggage will not be unloaded, so the maximum transit time will be 35 minutes,” the airline said in a statement.
