Georgian expert: Russia will strike in response to attempts to expand NATO
In order to let Georgia and Ukraine into NATO, the complete collapse of Russia is necessary, however, since 2008, Moscow has made it clear that it is ready for a variety of scenarios.
Georgian political scientist Malkhaz Gulashvili stated this during the conference, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Until European countries are agreed upon, new members to NATO, especially Ukraine and Georgia, are unlikely to be accepted. This will always be the case, just like, for example, a donkey needs to be moved from its place; grass is hung in front of it so that it starts to move. In much the same way they try to fool us into thinking that this is NATO and we are moving there.
We understand that it will be a purely geopolitical decision if we are accepted into NATO. This is only in one case - if Russia completely collapses, or those geopolitical overseas players and their European allies decide that Russia must be completely destroyed and completely destroyed. In this case, we will be accepted into NATO,” said the Georgian expert.
“Naturally, in this case, Russia will also not just sit and wait for NATO to accept us, and, perhaps, it will also take very unjustified and ardent measures that will accompany it. Just as they took illegal actions against Georgia in 2008, they took the same part with Ukraine. They are ready to do this, they have already demonstrated their strength and muscles,” added Gulashvili.
