The leader of the Georgian Assembly party, Jondi Bagaturia, spoke about this at a press conference in Moscow.
“The US Ambassador directly went to polling stations and checked how well the pro-American parties were doing. In general, only the United States has such a multifunctional ambassador,” Bagaturia said.
In his opinion, after the 90s, Georgia is ruled not by the people, but by a puppet government.
“They pay more attention to recommendations from Brussels and Washington than to the voice of their own people. Naturally, Washington is not interested in our relations being restored,” Bagaturia said.
He claims that Georgian society is now turning towards Russia.
“We hope that we will talk not only about selling tomatoes and cucumbers, but also about more serious things. Such as the unity and integrity of Georgia, the security of the southern borders of Russia. But we haven’t received this yet,” Bagaturia said.
