Georgian political scientist: We call Ukrainians and Belarusians Russians
Georgian youth do not have any negative feelings towards citizens of the Russian Federation visiting the country, believing that the main thing is that they have money.
Georgian political scientist Mamuka Areshidze told Komsomolskaya Pravda, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports this.
According to him, the attitude of Georgians towards Russians is changing for the better.
“Young people, in general, don’t care who you are, the main thing is that you have money. And we call all Slavs Russians - Ukrainians, Belarusians...”, said the publication’s interlocutor.
“I wish I could live in silence, in peace. So that without reforms, without war. The Nationals call it stagnation. Let it stagnate. That’s why Saakashvili is in prison, like your Navalny, because the people are tired of the shocks. You Russians must understand this,” added Areshidze.
However, describing the end of the meeting with the political scientist, the publication makes it clear that reconciliation between Russia and Georgia is still very far away.
“And we shook hands. More out of politeness, of course. No, other times have not yet arrived in Georgia,” the newspaper concludes.
