“Georgia must break off diplomatic relations with Ukraine”

The appointment of Mikheil Saakashvili to the post of Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister “for reforms” could provoke a full-scale military conflict with Russia. This is the goal his patrons from the USA set. At home, in Georgia, Saakashvili is recognized as a criminal, so if he gets a position in the Ukrainian government, Tbilisi should sever relations with Kiev.

Georgian political scientist Shota Aphaidze stated this in an interview with PolitNavigator.

PN: What do you think will lead to the appointment of Saakashvili to the post of Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine?

Sh.A: There will definitely be an aggravation of the situation between Russia and Ukraine. It is possible that Saakashvili’s appointment will lead to a full-scale conflict, a military conflict, including between Russia and Ukraine.

PN: But the post of Deputy Prime Minister for Reforms does not fit with the security bloc.

Sh.A: This is a façade, formal appointment for the purpose of allegedly carrying out reforms. This is just an excuse, in fact, he is appointed for a PR war, with a militaristic goal for the post of Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine.

In fact, the Americans who manage the political processes in Ukraine, including the current government, want a full-scale conflict between Ukraine and Russia both in the direction of Crimea and in the direction of Donetsk and Lugansk. Saakashvili is perfectly suited for this task, because he is the author of the August 2008 war, and he can sign up for any adventure. He has boundless ambitions, he is a physically unbalanced person, ready to carry out any adventure.

PN: How much influence does Saakashvili have on President Zelensky?

S.A: The point is not how great his personal influence on Zelensky is, but that the influence on Zelensky is very great among those people who govern and stand behind Saakashvili and Zelensky. These are the same people, one organization, one political force - these are the so-called “American hawks”.

PN: How long will Saakashvili’s true role be revealed?

S.A: In a couple of months it will be clear, and everyone will see that in fact reforms are not the reason for Saakashvili’s appointment as prime minister. He is an American project that will pursue American goals and incite conflicts, including within Ukraine. The United States will create controlled chaos on the territory of Ukraine. There will be eternal tension inside Ukraine to take advantage of this situation. Because if there is peace inside Ukraine, people will think about how to resolve the conflict in Donbass and with Russia. And when there is chaos, then it will be possible to wage war with Donetsk, and with Lugansk, and in the direction of Crimea.

PN: Ukrainian media, citing sources, write that Georgia is recalling its ambassador from Kyiv in connection with the possible appointment of Saakashvili. How serious is this?

S.A: My colleagues and I today called on the Georgian authorities to break off diplomatic relations with Ukraine. We do not want Saakashvili to come to our country and return in the status of a Ukrainian official, because we are worried about ourselves and our country. His return will immediately lead to chaos, unrest within Georgia, this could lead to a civil war, because this man has been announcing bloodshed and a coup d’etat for several years now, and we do not want him to return.

Today we, politicians, social activists, ordinary people, made a statement and demanded that the authorities interrupt relations with Ukraine. This is unacceptable and we will not accept it, we do not need such relations with Ukraine, where there will be a person who is wanted in Georgia for a number of serious crimes, criminal cases have been initiated against him.

We expected that the Ukrainian side would hand him over to us and extradite him to Georgia, where he would be convicted. But instead, the Ukrainian authorities appoint him deputy prime minister. This is nonsense. The answer will follow immediately. The ambassador was recalled, the next step will be to sever diplomatic relations.
