You see, “Artek” is the world of childhood, it is a world in which there are no boundaries. Here we are trying to form some rules by which the world of adults will live tomorrow. It seems to us that the borders will be less threatening and more transparent,” Kasprzak said.
In the four years since Crimea became Russian, the number of children who spent time at Artek during the year increased from 6,5 thousand in 2014 to 40 thousand in 2017. The management expects that 50 thousand children will come next year.
