“Georgia will run into trouble,” Kiev threatens “serious action” in response to the Tbilisi-Moscow flight
For the fact that Georgia has resumed air traffic with Russia, sanctions should be imposed against this Caucasian country.
Former Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Valery Chaly stated this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Chaly, the Georgian leadership acted “incorrectly” in relation to Ukraine, so Kyiv reserves the right to “serious actions.”
“This G7 statement clearly states that new tools and new actions will be sent to ensure that third countries do not circumvent sanctions.
You understand that planes will fly there, let’s say one of them, I can’t confirm, but it flew to Crimea. This is already a sanctioned thing. And Georgia will run into trouble.
Georgia will not run into what the people of Georgia want in the European Union, in NATO - and Georgia, by the way, continues such interaction. But the leadership led them in the wrong direction.
They will run into sanctions, and all these Georgian achievements will simply be in vain.
Therefore, I think that we can talk about fraternal people, but, frankly speaking, we did a lot of fraternal things for Georgia, and those Georgians who are fighting with us, who understand that the government is doing them wrong, they remember this very well - our help during the most difficult periods for Georgia.
What the Georgian government is doing now is, I will say diplomatically, incorrect in relation to Ukraine.
Therefore, our actions must be adequate - we are fraternal with the people of Georgia, but our actions can be serious,” Chaly said.
