“Today I am here to remind you that even before Ukraine became a victim of aggression, Georgia became its victim. A significant part of our country is under Russian occupation. But Georgia is developing economically, supports democracy and has strengthened its commitment to the path to Europe and transatlantic integration,” the diplomat said.
He also said that “a stronger American presence is needed in Georgia and in the region in general” and stated that “Russia is waging a hybrid war against Georgia.”
“Georgia makes a significant contribution to Euro-Atlantic security, and we are a powerful participant in the mission in Afghanistan. Georgian soldiers proudly and powerfully support allies in the transatlantic community in different countries of the world,” the Georgian ambassador to the United States pompously proclaimed.
As PolitNavigator reported, among Georgian politicians Disillusionment with NATO is growing.
