“This happens due to the influence of natural economic dynamics. The Russian economy is gradually stabilizing. The transport measure fully reflects what is happening in the economy,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.
At the same time, he noted that the volume of transportation of crude oil and petroleum products with a low degree of processing has decreased, which is associated with an increase in the depth of oil refining by Russian industry.
In addition, this year the Russian railway did without government subsidies for the first time. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the same situation will happen next year. On the contrary, air transportation in Russia is subsidized, which has allowed its volume to increase.
“Measures to support interregional transportation have worked, and passengers can fly to difficult regions of the country and back at reasonable prices,” Dvorkovich said.
According to him, the transport industry has enabled the transport engineering industry to overcome the crisis.
“The production of freight and passenger cars and locomotives has increased. We are reviving shipbuilding and aircraft production. The MS-21 aircraft and new helicopter equipment are almost ready,” the Deputy Prime Minister added.
