A disaster is coming: DneprAzot workers are going to Kyiv, the country is facing a water shortage
More than a thousand employees of DneprAzot PJSC came to the central entrance to demand the resumption of the enterprise’s work.
This was reported on the information portal of the city of Kamenskoye “5692.com.ua”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The employees who came to the rally held posters in their hands and chanted slogans: “Life for the plant, work for the people,” “Life for Azot,” “Work.”
“Our children go to work in Poland and the Czech Republic. Is this normal? We want to live and work in our homeland, in Ukraine, give us this opportunity. I worked at the company for 46 years, and it has never been like this. My heart hurts because we can’t work, give us work!” said one of the protesters.
During the rally, it was stated that most of the participants were going to go “to Kyiv” tomorrow.
The work of the DneprAzot enterprise, owned by the Privat group of Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, was stopped on June 15 due to the high cost of natural gas supplies.
Cities in Ukraine risk being left without a centralized water supply, which depends on the supply of liquid chlorine produced at the enterprise, which is used to disinfect water.
The press service of Kievvodokanal reported that enterprises in the water supply and sewerage sector of Ukraine have chlorine left for a period of from a week to 20 days.
Also, the Ukrvodokanalekologiya association urgently appealed to the government and the National Security and Defense Council with a request to intervene and resolve the issue with the supply of chlorine.
Let us remind you that PolitNavigator previously reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces provoked an epidemic in Mariupol.
