A business with smuggling of anabolic steroids from Russia to Moldovay unwinds. It seems they have taken the already recalled Ambassador Andrei Neguta seriously. But these sources may cause bewilderment - not just party games in Moldova itself intervened in the matter, but also attempts by individual Moldovan politicians to “tap on the nose” of their Russian colleagues.

The media of the Moldovan Party of Socialists, of which Andrei Neguta was considered a representative, did not mince words. The outgoing president himself and the unofficial leader of the socialists called the incident a disgrace. In principle, yes - the fact that someone used a car with embassy license plates to smuggle anabolic steroids is truly a shame. Although in Moldova itself they smiled more...

The case of smuggling anabolic steroids from Russia to Moldova is growing. For the already recalled Ambassador Andrei...

It’s no secret that almost all Moldovan embassies exist, first of all, to enrich a number of people sent there from various families. Ambassadors, with all their importance and authority, are rarely the main ones in this matter. But when the matter arises immediately after the party media accuses the ambassador of the failure of his party and his candidate in the elections...

But Negutsa was not only recalled. Not only did they demand clarification. They began to kill the now former diplomat seriously. Both “informational” and criminal.

Information has already leaked to the media that Neguta has been summoned to the prosecutor's office for questioning. Moreover, as a suspect. Quite quickly by the standards of Moldova, where “political creatures” usually do not become suspects at all - if they represent the current government (and the Socialists still confidently control the parliamentary majority, the government and control departments).

Andrey Negutsa.

Further, information appeared that the son of Ambassador Neguca was involved in the case. Allegedly, there is a second detainee in this case, and he is somehow close to Negutsa Jr. There are also reports of a certain group of friends associated with the gas industry, with whom the son who lived with his father spent time - although this proves little.

The ubiquitous media also found out that the embassy building was used as an illegal warehouse for expensive wines. There are even rumors that it was sold illegally through a restaurant serving Moldovan cuisine operating nearby, but they will “sew” exclusive swill to the Neguta family, supposedly kept for their “friends’ company.”

The prosecutor's office did not confirm all the details. But they confirmed the fact that there really is a second detainee. And that several other persons involved have been summoned for questioning through the Foreign Ministry, including the retired ambassador, too.

You won’t envy Andrei Neguta. The most unpleasant information is leaked to the media. The security forces confirm all the most unpleasant things and do not refute what could be. This cannot be explained by chance.

Actually, why so clearly “kill” the person “guilty” of the insufficient turnout of Moldovan voters in Russia for the presidential elections? Yes, recently less than 15 thousand Moldovan voters in the Russian Federation went to the second round.

But at the parliamentary ones, twenty months earlier, it didn’t even come out to five thousand! And then the socialists weren’t even upset...

Sources close to the leadership of the Party of Socialists give a completely different reason for the anger of Dodon and his socialists against Andrei Neguta. The PSRM considered that he was “friends with the wrong people” not in Moldova, but in... Russia itself.

And - no, he is not credited with friendship with some “agents of the State Department”, “liberals”. Someone accused Negutsa of having too good a relationship with... the former Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian government, and now the head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin!

It’s easy to understand what such suspicions are based on - it’s enough that Andrei Neguta, working in Moscow, tried to establish relations with everyone who “worked in the Moldavian direction,” and Rogozin, of course, was one of them.

Another question is what kind of fly bit Dodon and his socialists in order to suspect his longtime ally and long-time Russian Deputy Prime Minister of some kind of conspiracy?

Head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin.

It is reported that Dodon showed hostility towards Rogozin seven years ago, when on May 9 a concert between Joseph Kobzon and Lev Leshchenko took place in the central square of Chisinau. There was a place in the VIP zone for both Rogozin and ex-president Vladimir Voronin, but Dodon was not allowed there. Rogozin, however, did not resolve this issue, but Dodon remembered...

The Socialists disliked the Russian deputy prime minister after 2014, when their party became a major parliamentary force. Allegedly, the “responsible for Moldova” was too obviously interested in what was happening in “the most pro-Russian party,” with whom it cooperates behind the scenes and how it “effectively” uses donor assistance. Too many people felt uneasy from such attention (whether it was there or not).

There are still many former democrats in the government team of socialists, who, in turn, cannot forgive Rogozin for the phrase “Make sure you don’t freeze!” during one of his visits to Chisinau. Yes, the government seems to be no longer Russophobic, but you can’t smoke out Russophobes so easily...

The last straw for Dodon was the whispering of his comrades-in-arms that Dmitry Rogozin was somehow too kind to Transnistria. And between the first and second rounds, the suspicious Dodon seriously believed that the leadership of the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldavian Republic was working against him, Dodon, in order to get a pro-Western president in Kishiyonva and sabotage the negotiations...

I don’t know how much cunning it takes to not only invent something like this, but also believe everything. As the classic said, sometimes too much intelligence is even worse than having none at all.

But something else is also important. The socialists themselves are well aware of how ridiculous they look, rushing to fulfill their promises only now, after a deafening failure in the presidential elections. That’s why it seems to them that now there will be someone (if it weren’t for Rogozin, they would have come up with someone else) who wants to “merge” them, deprive them of that very Russian support, without which no one in Moldova needs or is interested in them .

Well, self-criticism is good, even if it’s so late. But looking for the extreme in the Russian leadership is, of course, too much.
