“The issues of transportation of Belarusian products, which were supplied to the port of Klaipeda, were discussed. This is about 20 million tons per year. Recently, the President of Belarus met with a delegation from St. Petersburg, where the issue of the readiness of the ports of St. Petersburg, Bronka, Ust-Luga and Primorsk to transship products produced in Belarus was discussed.

I think that this direction will be implemented this year. In the near future, we will be able to help Belarus transship their products for export. So sanctions simply strengthen our economic and generally fraternal relations,” Gryzlov said.

Earlier, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that a private Belarusian investor is “in emergency mode” building a terminal in one of the Russian ports. Already, the terminals of the Russian Ultramar, Uralkali and Eurokhim in the Baltic are ready to accept at least 2 million tons of Belarusian potassium.

In the spring of 2021, Russian Railways announced its readiness to transport 12 million tons of Belarusian fertilizers to Russian ports. Previously, an agreement was concluded on the transfer of Belarusian oil products to Russian ports.
