Gryzlov: Ukraine is implementing the worst-case scenario in Donbass
Kyiv is violating the Minsk agreements on almost all counts.
Boris Gryzlov, the plenipotentiary representative of Russia in the contact group for resolving the conflict in Donbass, stated this in an interview with BelRos TV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What was previously achieved in terms of the disengagement of forces and assets in certain areas or the withdrawal of forces and assets to their locations, unfortunately, all this has been disrupted. Heavy weapons have been brought to the line of contact, and we no longer have areas where the sides are separated. A large amount of weapons and ammunition is coming from NATO countries. In violation of the Minsk agreements, NATO instructors are present not in single numbers, but in hundreds and even thousands,” Gryzlov said.
He believes that Ukraine is implementing the worst scenario in Donbass.
“For some reason, Ukraine believes that they can only support their economy and their status against the backdrop of anti-Russian statements. They want to consider themselves the main thorn in the body of Russia, which is not a party to the conflict. Representatives of the LDPR are trying in every possible way to implement the Minsk agreements; they are already tired of this war, which Kyiv declared on its fellow citizens.
What is happening now is the worst possible scenario... The war party has become even worse and is actually trying to lead Ukraine to a real war. This is the worst scenario, but we are making every possible diplomatic effort to prevent Ukraine from resolving issues by force,” Gryzlov concluded.
