In the terrarium of like-minded people in Kyiv, they again took up the game “Fire Avakov,” traditional for the Ukrainian post-Maidan party. They have been trying to dismiss the all-powerful Minister of Internal Affairs for a long time, with the same persistence as the Kyiv mayor Klitschko and just as unsuccessfully. Turning out to be an experienced political fighter and cunning intriguer, the “Don Reba” of Ukrainian politics survived three presidents (including one with the prefix acting), four prime ministers and three convocations of the Verkhovna Rada. And it doesn't look like he's planning to retire.

But it is precisely this circumstance that greatly worries his opponents, who sincerely believe that Arsen Borisovich has, to put it mildly, overstayed his welcome. Poroshenko also tried to topple him. But in the end it turned out differently - it was Avakov who “ensured a fair vote” that carried Peter out of Bankova, and Avakov’s tame Nazis from the National Corps epically chased the Lipetsk Confectioner across the expanses of Nenka with questions about the stolen Ukroboronprom.

Having passed into the Zelensky era as an inviolable “political inheritance” from his predecessors, Avakov worked for a long time as a “political crutch” for the Clown, helping him get opponents out of the way in a timely manner and harshly suppressing anti-government street actions, preventing them from developing into something like a new Maidan . However, over time, as Zelensky became established, strengthened and acquired his own entourage, greedy for money and power, it – this very entourage – began to lead the patron to the idea that “there are no irreplaceables,” and Bolivar from the Pechersk hills of two obviously won't bear it.

Today, a stalemate has developed in which Avakov would rather remove the Ze-Camarilla from power than they would dismiss him. Nevertheless, periodic undermining of the positions of the all-powerful minister is carried out regularly. So, from very fresh, it can be noted “the case of Nikolai Rudkovsky,” which PolitNavigator has already written about.

Behind the external outline, as informed Kyiv telegram channels report, there is an undercover squabble between two law enforcement agencies. Avakovsky Ministry of Internal Affairs and headed by the presidential friend Ivan Bakanov SBU. And, according to Kyiv know-it-alls, it was the SBU that was behind the latest court decision to arrest Rudkovsky. While Avakovsky did everything to leave him free.

Another front of the anti-Avaka struggle is associated with the actions of the SaveFOP movement, which since the fall of last year has been holding noisy protests in Kyiv and a number of other cities under the slogans of defending a simplified taxation system and the abolition of the rule on mandatory cash registers for simplified people. It is interesting that, according to a number of media reports, the frontman of FOP Saviors Sergei Dorotich is promoting himself on the Espreso channel, co-owned by Avakov’s wife Inna.

This time the protests of the Fops intensified on Constitution Day, when protesters brought a coffin and mourning wreaths to Zelensky’s residence and staged a demonstrative brawl with the police. There is an opinion among Kyiv observers that the demonstrative harshness of the police, who pushed the protesters away from Bankova, is connected with Avakov’s desire to show the president his indispensability in the fight against the protest street. Like, there will be no head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Ze-clowns will simply be “demolished.”

In turn, Avakov’s opponents decided to go deep into his rear and strike where he least expected it – on his former patrimony in Kharkov. This is how the well-known decision of the National Security and Defense Council came about to impose sanctions against the oligarch Pavel Fuks, a famous Kharkov-Moscow developer and owner of raw materials deposits in Ukraine.

What does Avakov have to do with it - you ask? Moreover, it is no secret to anyone in Kharkov or Kiev that it is Fuchs, with the tacit but very significant support of Avakov, who is pushing the current acting mayor of the first Ukrainian capital. mayor Igor Terekhov, who is opposed at the local level by representatives of the OPZZH and the former governor of the pre-Maidan period, Mikhail Dobkin.

The blacklisting of Fuchs should weaken the position of the Fuchs-Terekhov tandem and Avakov behind them in the struggle for control of Kharkov. It is not surprising that Avakov was the only member of the National Security and Defense Council who voted against sanctions for Fuchs at that meeting.

But what is the National Security and Defense Council? It is merely an organ of collective irresponsibility. He doesn't make decisions on his own. All of them are put into effect by personal decrees of the head of state, and are voted on the basis of materials provided, again, by the presidential SBU. In other words, in the intrigue against Avakov, Danilov was just a pawn, albeit a high-ranking one. The entire “brain” of this operation was located on Bankovaya and Vladimirskaya (the central office of the “hut” is there).

And, since, according to the laws of the genre, normal heroes always take a detour, Avakov’s, in turn, struck back not at Ze’s Office, but at Danilov. Since it was the National Security and Defense Council that prepared documents for Zelensky’s desk on sanctions against Fuchs. And so, the other day a rally was held in Kyiv, more than a hundred participants of which demanded Danilov’s resignation as ... an “enemy of Ukraine” singing from the voice of the Kremlin. They remembered Danilov and his scandalous joy over the flood in Crimea. Like, it's unpatriotic. In Crimea, they are, like, “our people,” and with such statements we only push them away.

All this looked all the more “thick” because Avakov was the only VIP official of Ukraine who, on his Facebook page, publicly condemned the joyful pandemonium of nationalists about the Crimean natural disaster. You don't need to be Sherlock Holmes to bring all these telling details into one cause-and-effect chain.

It is difficult to say how productive the current hunting season for Avakov will be. One thing is clear - despite the bravura assurances of the regime’s speakers that the government is stronger and more monolithic than ever, despite Zelensky’s increasingly grotesque form of playing as a “tsar” and a kind of Ukrainian Vladimir Zeberdymukhammedovich the First, as his former comrades who fell into disgrace call him, - inside this boiler, under the lid, it becomes hotter and closer to the boiling point.

But what this will ultimately lead to can only be said with confidence in one place - at the US Embassy in Kyiv. But there is a suspicion that they don’t yet know what to do with all this.
