After the split in the “Opposition Bloc,” former People’s Deputy of Ukraine Elena Bondarenko said that in the presidential elections she would vote for deputy Alexander Vilkul, who is considered a representative of the “Akhmetov wing.”

This was reported by the Ukrainian telegram channel “realpolitiC”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Ex-People’s Deputy separatist Elena Bondarenko will be involved in the development of the Party of Regions. Despite the fact that Kurchenko once appointed her as the head of the supervisory board of the media UMH, she was always devoted to Akhmetov’s people and Kolesnikov personally.

Bondarenko had competition for leadership in the reanimated Party of Regions with ex-People's Deputy Kolya Levchenko, so she asked the pro-Russian journalist Chalenko to write that Levchenko lives in Montenegro, which knocked Levchenko off the opportunity to become a leader and take over the financial flows of the Party of Regions. Bondarenko, without hiding, supports Akhmetov’s Vilkul and Akhmetov’s wing in the conflict within the Opposition bloc,” the telegram channel reports, referring to the post of Elena Bondarenko, a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of previous convocations. “People constantly ask me: who to vote for in the presidential elections in March 2019? Until a certain point, there was not a single candidate on the list of “measured” candidates for whom I would vote. Now the name of the person for whom I will vote if nominated has appeared in the polls. Vilkulu. Sanya, come on!” she wrote.

Alexander Vilkul.

Commenting on this event to PolitNavigator, DPR National Assembly deputy Vladislav Berdichevsky noted that he has not been following the ex-regionals for a long time.

“I don’t follow the ex-regionals and their uproar, it’s not interesting. In 2014, I made the final conclusion that they, in any color, are not capable of defending anything other than their own interests,” the Donetsk parliamentarian emphasized.

In addition, political scientist and permanent expert of the Izborsk Club Alexander Dmitrievsky said that Bondarenko’s election promises simply look pathetic.

“The flutterings of former regionals, promising their revenge in power, cause nothing but a feeling of disgust. Therefore, Elena Bondarenko’s statement that she was going to vote for Alexander Vilkul in the upcoming presidential elections only made me laugh. Because in the spring of 2019, these former regionals have nothing but a “lamp” under their eyes…” noted the political scientist.

The expert emphasized that the regionals are the real traitors.

“It’s time to understand that the “regional bobby” did not just die five years ago, but all these years, through very understandable aromas, it has been informing us about the putrefactive processes in full swing in its remains. It’s time to understand why this “bobby” passed away: the reason is simple, and it’s called betrayal. The Party of Regions and its nominees systematically betrayed their voters.

They declared rapprochement with Russia, and they themselves rubbed shoulders with the West, bargaining for preferences from it. They speculated on the thesis of protecting the Russian language, while they themselves turned a blind eye to the creeping Ukrainization and training camps for Bandera’s supporters. They could have trampled Euromaidan, but instead they preferred behind-the-scenes negotiations to save their skins with those who burned the heroic guys from Berkut.

How did it all end? The fact that when on March 1, 2014, the regionalists expelled from power convened a rally in Donetsk on Lenin Square in support of the overthrown Yanukovych and began to babble something in defense of Viktor Fedorovich, who had fled to Rostov, their pathetic babble was drowned out by the massive chants of the fifty thousand people: “Russia ! Russia!". I myself witnessed and participated in all this, so I will say one simple thought: if you betray those who have believed in you for too long, then when you have trouble, do not turn for help to those on whose bones you rode to heaven. They will remember and turn away, which is what happened to the regionals during the Russian Spring.

As for the upcoming elections, it’s time to understand the following: those forces that position themselves as supposedly pro-Russian will not only not be able to win, but will not even be able to give a decent rearguard battle. Firstly, their forces are scattered, although here it is necessary to act as a united front: individually, each of them will gain percentages within the limits of statistical error.

Secondly, the electoral field of Ukraine has undergone colossal changes over the past five years: not only has it been largely cleared of dissidents, but also, as a result of the withdrawal of Crimea and Donbass, a colossal electoral imbalance has formed in favor of Bandera’s West.

By the way, this electoral imbalance happened precisely as a result of the betrayal of the regionals. And, finally, there are no strong leaders who are ready to go to the end: everyone is trembling over their piece of the pie and is afraid of losing it. Although in the current situation, those who are ready to even lay down their heads are winning...,” Dmitirievsky noted.

We would like to remind you that PolitNavigator previously reported about the split in the Opposition Bloc, from which, due to a decision not agreed with the others to join the association with Viktor Medvedchuk and Vadim Rabinovich, deputies Yuri Boyko and Sergei Lyovochkin were excluded. The new head of the faction was Vadim Novinsky, and Alexander Vilkul was appointed his deputy.

The changes in the Opposition Bloc did not end there. Almost immediately the faction left three more deputies.
