The Ukrainian gas transportation system must be isolated from the influence of Kyiv politicians.

Former head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Konstantin Grishchenko stated this on the air of the Ukrainian channel “112”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.

According to him, agreements on abandoning the Nord Stream 2 project can be reached between the United States and Germany only if the political crisis in Ukraine is resolved and the war in the east of the country ends.

“Then there may be some guarantees for the Germans regarding our gas transportation system, which also needs to be reformed and placed under the control of authoritative international players, so that the influence of the Ukrainian authorities on gas supplies and manual control in favor of themselves, their beloved, is excluded. Then we can talk about something,” Grishchenko said.
