Gubarev: Donbass is not Transnistria, but a new Gaza Strip
The conflict in the self-proclaimed republics of Donbass may drag on for decades, and the territory itself will become a zone of instability.
The leader of the Novorossiya public movement, Pavel Gubarev, stated this at a round table dedicated to the anniversary of the elections in the LDPR.

“We must understand that decades of the Minsk process may await us. If we look for historical analogies, it will not even be Transnistria, but the Gaza Strip - a small, proud territory that is at the stage of an armed conflict with a stronger enemy. A country in which there will never be a coup or a new Maidan unless the only beneficiary of the events in Ukraine, the United States, wants it.
Ukraine is being prepared as a springboard for a war against the Russian Federation, and the fate of Novorossiya may become one of the centers of resistance,” he said.
Gubarev also noted that in the long term, Novorossiya will become a kind of Piedmont for Russia, from whose territory the offensive to the West will begin.
