“My resignation letter is with the Administration of the President of Ukraine. Further decisions are within the powers of the President of Ukraine. Now I am obliged to fulfill my duties as head of the regional state administration,” Petik said, as quoted by the press service of the Kirovograd Regional State Administration.
The governor also noted that he intends to become a participant in the ATO and sent additional documents to the regional military registration and enlistment office - copies of the marriage certificate and work record book. Petik said that he received the military rank of lieutenant while studying at the military department of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv State University. Afterwards he served in the reserves and rose to the rank of major.
“Since I already have direct experience in creating military units, I can be useful to the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” he believes.
Let us recall that earlier “Svoboda” Petik said that he would run for deputy of the Verkhovna Rada if the party makes the appropriate decision.
