The Governor of Sevastopol discredits the “Russian Spring”
Today’s resignation of the director of the chief architect of Sevastopol, Marina Rakova, became the reason for loud accusations against the city governor Dmitry Ovsyanikov from journalists and deputies of the city Legislative Assembly, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
And about. Vice Governor Mikhail Demidenko explained that the city’s chief architect resigned of her own free will for family reasons. However, the “Notes” website believes that Rakova did not want to be a “switcher”, carrying out the governor’s instructions.
Dmitry Ovsyannikov allegedly verbally demanded that Rakova change the functional category of some land plots to multi-apartment residential development in the interests of the offshore company Sevastopolstroy, Notes report. Legislative Assembly deputy Vyacheslav Gorelov adds that the government has already tried to lobby the interests of the same developer and increase the permitted building height for Sevastopolstroy residential complexes.
“Take a look at what unites such projects as Marina de Luxe, Porto Franco and Watercolor.” The city governor is using all his might and means, including those that are questionable from a moral point of view, to get rid of professional and competent specialists. From those who dare to have their own opinion, but do not obey “wishlist”, the purpose of which is to satisfy certain business interests,” Gorelov commented on Rakova’s resignation today in an interview with the Forpost publication.
He recalled that the city is losing its chief architect before the final adoption of the General Plan and land use and development rules. It was Rakova who invited specialists from all over the country to Sevastopol, who were supposed to help prepare these two documents.
“It seems to me that the city governor was gradually achieving exactly this result. It is possible that he is afraid to present the draft master plan to the general public and the current deputy corps,” Gorelov said.
The resignation of the chief architect prompted the deputy to make extremely harsh criticism of the governor.
“It seems to me that such people are the personification of those forces that did not want the return of Sevastopol to Russia. Their current goal is to discredit the Russian Spring. The Ovsyannikovs cannot become the ruling elite of Russia. They must be stopped, otherwise there is a risk of losing the country,” Gorelov said.
