The Governor of Sevastopol justifies the cowardice of Sberbank
Public organizations in Sevastopol that won presidential grants for their projects faced difficulties due to the lack of Sberbank branches in Crimea.
Representative of the ANO “Resource Center for Support of Socially Oriented Non-Profit Organizations” Lyudmila Panova stated this on air on the IKS TV channel.
“Presidential grants are administered by Sberbank. Since Sberbank has not yet entered Crimea and Sevastopol, the winners and I are writing a petition. We ask that the authorities support us and motivate Sberbank to work not only with Mriya, but to open branches in Crimea,” Panova said.
The governor of Sevastopol, Dmitry Ovsyannikov, said that he would sign the petition of social activists, but did not condemn Sberbank, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It’s not about the money, but about the projects that were supported. This is very good. Sanctions have an impact on the work of some enterprises, but this is compensated by additional regimes: SES, budgetary injections. Therefore, to say that we need additional measures in the form of Sberbank... Somehow we got away with it. There are certain reasons why he has not opened his branches. Everything has its time. For now, Rossiya Bank and RNKB are compensating for his absence,” Ovsyannikov said.
According to Panova, 30 socially significant projects in Sevastopol received presidential grants totaling 65,5 million rubles.
Earlier, State Duma deputy from Sevastopol Dmitry Belik criticized Sberbank for refusing to work in the Russian Crimea, but continuing to help the ruling regime in Ukraine.
“In my opinion, today we have a pro-Western lobby in the banking and financial sector. And we see this very well. How else can we explain the fact that since 14, the management of Sberbank has continued its activities on the territory of the state of Ukraine, actually financing the blockade of Crimea, punitive operations in the Donbass, and attacks on our oil rigs in the Black Sea. Don't we know about this?
This is on the one hand. On the other hand, there has been no Sberbank of the Russian Federation in Crimea and Sevastopol for three years. Like many others. German Oskarovich does not receive a direct answer to direct questions. Is this the principled position of the head of a state bank, or is it something else, a desire to please the Western allies, what should we call them?
Mortgage with Crimean registration. Do you know that citizens with Sevastopol and Crimean registration who come to Moscow will not take out a mortgage from Sberbank? No one will officially tell you about this. But someone try it, ask your relatives!
Eventually. In Sevastopol and Crimea there are colossal problems with the banking sector. And our banks operate in Ukraine,” Belik said from the rostrum of the State Duma.
