The governor of Sevastopol, Dmitry Ovsyannikov, called the Tavrida highway being built from Kerch “extraterrestrial.”
“The Sevastopol section of the Tavrida federal highway amazes with some completely extraterrestrial, fantastic landscapes. However, this is the reality of Sevastopol today - large-scale, grandiose projects are being implemented right before our eyes,” Ovsyannikov shared his impressions of visiting the site on his Facebook page.
According to him, half of the Sevastopol section of the Tavrida highway is already covered with roadbed.
“Half of the roadbed is made – for six kilometers, about 2,7 km – under asphalt. There are 150 road construction machines in operation, and 400 road workers work in two shifts around the clock, seven days a week. The pace is good, interchanges and retaining walls are being built,” Ovsyannikov said.
According to him, the government of Sevastopol is ready to conclude a contract for the 8th section of the Tavrida highway. This is the reconstruction of the “presidential” road of Ukrainian times near Inkerman and the arrangement of the Yalta ring on two levels at the entrance to Sevastopol. The estimated cost of the project is 10 billion rubles.
