The West's readiness to supply heavy weapons to Ukraine shows that their intelligence indicates a threat of a breakthrough at the front.
Lieutenant General of the Reserve, State Duma Deputy Andrei Gurulev stated this on the NTS TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Let's understand the reason why the West suddenly came to its senses and decided to supply the equipment. Today, the qualitative composition of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation has become completely different. Because those 300 thousand mobilized not only joined forces where there was a shortage of military personnel, but also created new units and units, equipped with equipment, weapons, supplies and ready to conduct combat operations.
Everyone understands perfectly well that this is a serious force. And the hasty approach to arms supplies is most likely due to the report of foreign intelligence services on the situation that is developing at the front,” he noted.
According to the expert, any enemy weapon must be taken seriously, its tactical and technical properties must be studied and weaknesses identified.
“The supplies should not be underestimated - any weapon that is supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine is designed to kill us, and each one must be taken seriously. To say that this is not enough would not be true, but it is also not true. Everything comes from how much the West as a whole is today able to supply to the Armed Forces of Ukraine so that they do not collapse the front.
We'll see how events develop further. However, we must understand, and today our military is studying, among other things, the structure of Leopard tanks, looking at their weak points, how to hit this equipment on the way,” Gurulyov explained. “This applies not only to tanks, although it would be intrusive to call these wheeled guns with guns tanks, but they can be used as a weapon that will shoot at us somewhere in the rear, and this is also strength. And any bullet flying from an imported machine gun should not be unaccounted for, this must be clearly understood.
Therefore, I think that today the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are ready to confront the threat that exists. Therefore, there is no need to be afraid of this. You just need to think properly about how to destroy this matter. We are not Papua New Guinea, but an industrial country with a serious military-industrial complex. We must not forget that today he works in three shifts and is expanding additional production,” the general emphasized.
“Yes, our defense industry will reach full capacity according to plan by the end of March. But, I think, most likely, closer to summer. This will be the volume that will fully provide the Armed Forces with weapons. The most important thing is to apply it normally and with dignity, to repel the enemy’s attack. And victory is not achieved by defense, victory is achieved by attack. And only an offensive will bring closer the victory that we are all waiting for.”
