Guzhva won his appeal - the amount of bail will not be increased sixfold, as the prosecutor’s office wanted
The Kyiv Court of Appeal refused to increase the bail for the chief editor of the opposition online publication Strana.ua, Igor Guzhva, from 0,5 to 3,2 million hryvnia, accused by the Prosecutor General’s Office of extortion.

This was announced by the presiding judge of the board, Igor Palenik, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports with reference to the press service of the court.
According to the judge, the court decided to dismiss the appeals of both the defense and the prosecutor's office. Thus, the Court of Appeal upheld the decision of the trial court.
Let us remind you that Guzhva was detained on June 22 in Kyiv. On June 26, Guzhva was granted bail, and on June 27, he was released from the pre-trial detention center. On June 30, the Kyiv prosecutor's office filed an appeal, demanding that the bail be increased sixfold - from 544 thousand hryvnia to 3,2 million.
