Guardiola boasted of an apartment in Kyiv
Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola purchased an apartment in Ukraine due to his frequent visits to the country, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The Catalan specialist spoke about this during a press conference before the Shakhtar - Manchester City match; his words are quoted on the website of the Ukrainian club.
In 2017 and 2018, the clubs met four times in the Champions League. In last year's draw, the English were twice stronger - 3:0 and 6:0. In 2017, the Ukrainian club won 2:1 at home, but lost 0:2 away.
Guardiola admitted that the purchase was prompted by his teams’ frequent trips to Ukraine.
“Yes, I already bought an apartment here! I played against Shakhtar many times: against Barcelona, Bayern and now Manchester City. I come here almost every season, I’m already used to it and I really like it,” Guardiola said.
Shakhtar and Manchester City are the current winners of their national championships. The Group C match between them will take place in Kharkov.
