“Nails driven into living meat”: Sentsov shared the recipe for the “collapse” of Russia

Oleg Sentsov, who was convicted in Russia for plotting terrorist attacks in Crimea and returned to Ukraine in an exchange, stated this on air on the Apostrophe Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Sentsov, Russia should only have lands inhabited by ethnic Russians.
“This is their mentality problem, which has always been there; in the 90s they didn’t do this. They had a very good ten years to do this, but they didn’t do it, didn’t want to and couldn’t. There were attempts, but there was no government policy, and people were not ready to do this. Then there was a rollback and that’s it, now there are “heroes” again and everything goes well,” says Sentsov.
“And until they carry out such de-imperialism, I don’t know what word to choose here, until this process goes back, until they go through what the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the Swedish Empire, the Japanese Empire, the German Empire, the Ottoman Empire went through - you can list for a very long time, and they will not stay in the territory where ethnic Russians live, and they will let everyone else go, nothing will happen. They must leave, because otherwise the prison of nations will continue,” the terrorist believes.
“An empire is built on the fact that it seizes territories, adds new things to itself and maintains rigid boundaries, internal and external, these so-called clamps, these are nails that are hammered into living meat so that it is held only by force. Otherwise, if democracy is allowed in, it will all fall apart, because all of this is a people’s prison,” Sentsov said.
