After Zhukov, the Nazis will come to bring down Pushkin - Kornilov
The Ukrainian regime, which equated Soviet symbols with Nazi symbols and banned both, punishes only the St. George ribbon, but encourages Nazi chevrons.
Historian and political scientist Vladimir Kornilov stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In Ukraine, symbols of the Communist Party and Nazism are indeed prohibited, according to the same law, but at the same time you see people grab St. George’s ribbons, fine them, force them to remove all sorts of Soviet symbols from cars, and Soviet flags are historical. And how many cases have there been with Nazi symbols, the appearance of Nazi symbols in the center of Kyiv, on the chevrons of Ukrainian soldiers,” he noted.
“And the Nazi salute, which became the official greeting of the Ukrainian army?” reminded the host of the program, Vladimir Solovyov.
“And ask, was anyone punished, at least fined, was some kind of administrative penalty imposed on those who demonstrated Nazi symbols? The answer is no. Nobody. They only grab you for being communist, no matter what they say,” Kornilov continued.
The political scientist also noted that demolition of the monument to Marshal Zhukov in Kharkov by nationalists - this is a preface to the new policy of “decolonization”, where even monuments to Russian classics will be desecrated.
“And it was clear to everyone from the very beginning that they started with decommunization, and would end, as Vyatrovich says, with “decolonization.” Monuments to Zhukov are a preliminary stage before the demolition of monuments to Pushkin, Tolstoy, and so on, to which, mind you, Vyatrovich, the head of the state institute of national memory , directly calls for it,” the expert concluded.
