And these too. North Macedonia strengthens military contingent in Kosovo
As part of the Brdo-Brioni summit in Slovenia, North Macedonian President Stevo Pendarovski met with the “president” of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani.
During the meeting, Pendarovski announced an increase in the Macedonian contingent as part of the military occupation mission in Kosovo KFOR.
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, both sides announced that a joint meeting of the governments of Kosovo and North Macedonia will be held in the near future as part of cooperation. Pendarovski also told Osmani that his country will increase its presence in the KFOR armed occupation mission, and also supports visa liberalization and Kosovo's European path. Skopje also advocates the separatist region's membership in NATO.
Let us recall that just recently the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Maidan activist Zoran Zaev tearfully thanked Serbia for donating coronavirus vaccines.
By deciding to strengthen its military presence in Kosovo, North Macedonia followed the path of Croatia, announced creation of its own military base in the region, which was regarded by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic as an unfriendly step.
